Overview
The MULTIrep X2 (Article No. 110030010) allows you to extend your PROFIBUS DP network to support up to 126 devices with increased cable lengths, depending on transmission speed. Each segment supports 32 devices (31 + repeater), and the X2 version regenerates PROFIBUS signals in two directions with isolation between channels.
This repeater enhances network reliability by isolating sensitive segments and regenerating weak signals to meet PROFIBUS standards. It also supports expansions or maintenance without shutting down the entire network.

Diagnostics and LED Indicators
Each channel includes built-in LED diagnostics for fast fault identification:
- Bus LED: Green = OK, Red = Error, diagnostic message, or telegram repetition
- Data LED: Green = Fieldbus activity, Red = PROFIBUS issue, Off = no activity
Installation Guidelines
The repeater connects via 9-pin Sub-D connectors in accordance with PROFIBUS guidelines. If a segment begins or ends directly at the repeater, activate bus termination at the connector level.
For diagnostic measurements, use the PG interfaces at the 9-pin plugs on each segment. This allows you to identify issues before they affect other areas of the network.
