PROFIBUS Stripping Tool and Cable Cutter

The Fast Connect Stripping Tool is used for PROFIBUS cable stripping. The line end is prepared in one go ready for connection according to the Fast Connect standard. You get stripped, ready-to-connect cables in a single step. If necessary, only the data cables need to be stripped.

This is how it works:

• Place the PROFIBUS cable in the stripping tool.
• Hold the cable firmly and rotate the stripper around the cable.
• Depending on the blade setting, two to four turns may be necessary until the cable is stripped.

It is best to strip the cable a little longer. Make sure that the end of the cable to be stripped is not twisted off during assembly.

Instructions of use

1. Adjust the knives at the side of the stripping tool using a hexagon key.
2. Place the PROFIBUS cable into the stripping tool. Note: Leave the stripped line a bit longer. If need be, it can cut off later.
3. Hold the line tight and rotate the stripping tool around the line. Depending on the line type and the adjustment of the knives 2 to 4 rotations are necessary. Note: Make sure that the line ends to be stripped for assembly are not wrenched.
4. If properly used, the PROFIBUS cable is almost ready for connection so that only the data line needs to be stripped still. Infinitely variable steel blades provide for accurate stripping. Stripping of the cable sheath, braided screen and filler in one go.
