Interruption-free reading of all data

No additional software is required to read out the data from the PROFIBUS-INspektor® NT. You only need an Internet browser (e.g. Mozilla Firefox) to access the web interface integrated in the device. This allows you to view both the current network status and a history of past events.

Note: The web interface of PROFIBUS-INspektor® NT can be easily accessed via the web browser of the connected device (e.g. notebook or tablet) - without any additional software required. No active internet connection is required.

Topology function with status information

Knowledge of the real wiring of the individual devices is a central requirement for the evaluation of a PROFIBUS network. This topology can be stored and retrieved on the PROFIBUS-INspektor® NT with all important infrastructure components such as repeaters and measuring points, including the device information. In addition, current and past states of individual nodes are displayed in color. This makes it much easier to limit existing errors to certain segments or conspicuous nodes without additional measurement effort.

Error statistics with detailed timeline

You can see clearly which device is most frequently affected by the events that have occurred (e.g. telegram repetitions). This provides you important information for troubleshooting and facilitates the localization and elimination, especially in the case of complex error patterns.

Automatic alerts for PROFIBUS errors

As soon as a threshold value is exceeded, the PROFIBUS-INspektor® NT sounds an alarm to warn the operator in time so that targeted, planned maintenance measures can be initiated. A warning can be given in several ways. In addition to switching a potential-free contact, automatic alarming can be carried out conveniently via e-mail or SNMP trap thanks to the integrated Ethernet interface. In this way, the responsible maintenance department can be informed of potential malfunctions as quickly as possible. In addition, a status display on the device signals the current error status of your PROFIBUS system.

By accessing the web interface of PROFIBUS-INspektor® NT, a detailed alarm list shows which error occurred on which device and at what time. In addition, it records which event (threshold value) triggered the alarm. The internal memory allows up to 2000 alarm messages to be recorded with each alarm being assigned a snapshot with up to 1000 PROFIBUS telegrams.
