CAN Monitor Extension License for CANBUSview XL III 119010005

Active CAN transmit and receive

This license activates the CAN protocol monitor on your CANBUSview XL III, adding active send and receive on top of the tool's signal-quality analysis. Where the base measurement tells you how clean the bus is, the monitor lets you watch live packet traffic, trigger on error conditions, and transmit your own CAN messages to exercise the network.

Receive and log

• Display CAN error frames and overruns as they occur
• Trigger recording on those conditions
• Start, stop, and pause records, with each state shown clearly

Transmit

• Build sequences by grouping CAN packets into a list
• Send one or several messages, once or repeated at defined intervals
• Configure connected devices with a single button press

Why it matters

Passive measurement finds signal and cabling faults. Active monitoring finds behavior: which node throws error frames, how the bus reacts under defined traffic, and whether a device responds the way it should. Being able to transmit test packets and trigger on faults turns commissioning and troubleshooting from observation into a controlled test.

Requires the base unit

This is a license extension, not a standalone device. It activates on a CANBUSview XL III for CAN base unit. The CAN monitor runs on the base unit directly, with no additional protocol license required.
