CANopen/SafetyBUS Extension License for the Universal CAN measuring tool, CANBUSview XL III

This extension license adds CANopen and SafetyBUS p to the protocols your CANBUSview XL III can analyze. Once activated, both appear as selectable protocols in the software, so you can measure physical and logical communication quality on CANopen and Pilz SafetyBUS p segments with the same tool you already use for CAN.

What you can measure

Selecting CANopen or SafetyBUS p applies the full diagnostic feature set to that protocol:

• Physical quality rating (Q-value) with per-device bar chart
• Oscilloscope view with packet analysis
• Live monitoring of bus status, efficiency, and error-packet counts
• Logical checks for defective packets, missing acknowledgements, and bus load
• Long-term analysis via trigger function
• Offline line test for cabling and termination

Why it matters

CANopen and SafetyBUS p carry higher-layer and safety-relevant traffic where marginal signal quality is easy to miss and expensive to ignore. Verifying the physical layer and packet behavior at commissioning, and monitoring it over time, keeps intermittent faults from turning into unplanned downtime on the systems you can least afford to lose.

Requires the base unit

This is a license extension, not a standalone device. It activates on a CANBUSview XL III for CAN base unit. If you do not have one yet, add it to your order.
